Courses

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to GNM:

• The minimum age for admission will be 17 years on or before 31' January of the year, and upper age of limit will be 25 years. However, there is no age bar for the candidate who has completed their ANM/LHV.

• Minimum education qualification would be 10+2 or its equivalent examination, preferably science with aggregated 45% marks.

• Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination conducted by National

Institute of Open School with minimum 45% at the last qualifying examination.

• Students shall be medically fit.

2. Reservation Policy:

a) For disabled candidates: 5% Disability reservation to be considered with a disability of locomotor to the tune of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity and other eligibility criteria with regard to age and qualification will he same as prescribed for each nursing programme.

Note: A committee to be formed consisting of medical officer authorized by medical board of state government and a nursing expert in the panel which may decide whether the candidates have the disability of locomotor of 40% to 50%.

b) 5% is relaxed for SC/ST candidates

c) Any other quotas as per the State Govt. under the reservation policy.

Note: Quotas shall be included in the seats sanctioned and not above it.

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Fees / or any form of payments once made will not be refunded.

2. Students voluntarily withdrawing/expelled from the Institute shall be required to pay full fees for the entire course.

3. School does not take responsibility for the loss of personal property. Students are to keep any valuable belongings such as jewelry, phones, money at their own risk.

4. As per the INC norms, Students shall not be allowed to pursue other courses at the time of the study.

5. Students getting pregnant during the course of the study will not be allowed to continue the course.

6. Only parents and guardians named in the office record (as in appendix II) will be permitted/ liable for student’s activities. No other person shall be entertained

RIGHTS OF ADMISSION RESERVED

The Institute is purely a non-governmental organization which is promoted and managed by the society.

There is no discrimination on right of admission in regard to religion, creed and language etc. However, the decision of the Management of Board is final in all the academic matters. Thus, the board has every right to reject any application on the ground of false/ incomplete documents. General public is hereby informed that, if some unscrupulous competitor indulging in malicious propaganda against Health Nursing School, Dimapur, Nagaland then for such act, the management and the Board of Directors of the Institution will be compelled to take appropriate civil and criminal proceeding under relevant section of the civil law. We frequently appeal to the general public not to be misled by similar or any false propaganda against the name of the school.

The management has a strong rational determination and scope in developing professionalism in nursing through technical and academic excellence which is the first of its kind in Nagaland.
